General Info
CENER is engaged in wind, solar thermal and solar photovoltaic, biomass, bioclimatic architecture and renewable energy grid integration. It has modern accredited laboratories and facilities including a Wind Turbine Test Laboratory, a biofuel laboratory, a solar collector and photovoltaic module test laboratory, as well as a photovoltaic cell materials and processes laboratory.
CENER is currently developing a second-generation Biofuel pilot plant.
The Wind Turbine Test Laboratory (LEA) is unique in terms of its size and the power of the machines. It is able to test (up to 5 MW) and offers a broad and varied range of technical services, including, Blade test laboratory, Powertrain test laboratory (including a Wind turbine test bench, a Nacelle test bench and an assembly bench), and a Composite Materials and Processes laboratory. Field tests are also conducted and it has a 30 MW experimental Wind Farm.
