ARENA-ECO is a leading Ukrainian non-profit research and project development organization providing services aimed at improvement of fuel and energy efficiency and environmental protection. The Agency was established in 1994 as self-managed and self-financed organization through partnership with National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Battelle/Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and World Wildlife Fund.

ARENA-ECO's mission is to promote sustainable economic development and environmental protection of Ukraine through the energy efficiency improvements in energy, district heating, industrial, transport, buildings and other sectors.

The main activities and services are:

• Energy & environmental management and audit - energy and environmental audit conduction in energy, district heating, industrial, building sector with the help of mobile data measuring complex; implementation of the energy and environmental management as well as demand side management;
• Energy efficiency and clean energy investment project development - identification of bankable projects, development of feasibility studies and business plans, defining the financing options and schemes;
• Activities under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol - development of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, emissions modeling and forecasting; GHG abatement and carbon financing projects preparation;
• Sustainable energy market research and business development - economic, energy and environmental analysis and forecast; analysis and forecast of the demand and supply on the market of energy efficiency technologies and services; energy efficiency and ESCO business promotion and development;
• Information, training and publishing activities - organizing conferences, training seminars and workshops; disseminating information on the advanced experience in the energy efficiency and environmental protection area through the Internet and publishing activities.

ARENA-ECO was the first and remains leading Ukrainian organization which conducts systematic research of greenhouse gas emissions issues and development of climate change mitigation and JI policies and projects. Many years' experience of successful collaboration with Ukrainian governmental, municipal ant private organizations as well as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Global Environmental Facility, the International Energy Agency, United Nations Organizations and Programs, governmental institutions and leading companies from the EU, USA, Canada, Japan and other countries allows ARENA-ECO to provide customers with services meeting high international standards.
