General Info
Based at the Waterford County Council offices in Tramore, the Energy Agency provides a range of energy management, energy conservation and renewable energy services to the general public, to businesses and to both Local Authorities of Waterford.
The bureau activities target sustainable energy issues and projects important to Waterford City and County.
- Undertake programmes of specific actions and implement plans for Waterford City and County in energy related issues.
- Address energy economic issues with an integrated approach to energy development in the City and County of Waterford.
- To promote the efficient and rational use of energy (electricity, oil, solid fuel etc.)
- To provide an impartial energy information and assessment service to the general public.
- Source funding where applicable for energy related projects.
- Advise both local authorities of Waterford on energy procurement, efficiency and renewable energy technology issues.
The Waterford Energy Bureau seeks to actively become involved in projects that fit within its mission and objectives.
