The activities of the German Solar Energy Society DGS eV include education and promotion of research on renewable energy usage. It focuses on solar and biomass with photovoltaics, solar thermal and small scale biomass heating and CHP.

Areas of expertise: solar thermal collectors and peripherals, education, photovoltaics and bioenergy.


They are a non-governmental charity based organisation; promotion of the subjects, education improvement of research conditions, sustainable energy supply, technical standards and consumer protection issues.


Target audience: network for engineers, scientists, craftsmen, finance professionals and the general public does publish a weekly free german speaking newsletter with over 4.600 subscribers under www.dgs.de.
