United Nations Development Programme Romania aims to:
  • assist Romania improve security of supply and use clean energy from renewable energy sources;
  • improve environmental protection, by use of waste to generate heat and/or power;
  • assist Romanian Government meet its commitments under Kyoto protocol and other UN Conventions

Areas of expertise: dissemination of information, advice on specific energy issues; policy advice, project management.

Target audience: Central and local governments, civil society, community based organizations, private companies, utilities, others.
