General Info

The main activities of IWU in the energy sector are:
  • development, implementation and evaluation of buildings with low energy consumption (low energy houses, passive houses);
  • evaluation of user's behaviour in low energy houses;
  • development and application of calculation rules and energy efficiency certificates ("Energiepass");
  • development and application of calculation rules for the economic assessment of energy saving measures in buildings;

Areas of expertise: scientific studies, dissemination of information, advice on issues related to energy saving in buildings, energy auditing, promotion of energy efficiency in buildings, changing citizens' behaviour.

Target audience: politicians, investors, architects, engineers, craftsmen, energy consumers.
