General Info

INFORSE- Europe is a network of 80 organisations from 35 European countries. INFORSE-Europe is officialy registered in 2002. The global INFORSE network was formed as an informal network at the Global Forum in Rio in 1992. The network is consisting of independent non-governmental organisations working for sustainable energy solutions to protect the environment.

INFORSE-Europe is an NGO actor on EU Energy Policy. INFORSE-Europe organise seminars on EU policy, publish newsletter, makes press releases and answers to EU consultations.

The aims of INFORSE include:

  • To raise awareness and provide advocacy
  • To build up capacity at local, national and international level
  • To work for institutional reform
  • To support research and development
  • INFORSE lobbies to promote sustainable energy solutions - renewable energy and energy efficiency - which utilise decentralised approaches. All activities seek to protect the environment and to achieve development.
