The aim of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is to complement and assist the member states (Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Somalia and Uganda) in their efforts in management of transboundary resources and environmental issues.

Areas of expertise:

  • promotion and exchange of information and experiences between countries
  • assisting in policy developement

Target audience: national governments' decision and policy makers and the relevant institutions.
