General Info

The MTA is the national co-ordinator of the eco-label for accommodation establishments. This initiative will be expanding to incorporate assistance, including the use of EU funding, for energy-saving measures which can be implemented by tourism operators (accommodation and catering facilities, etc.)

Areas of expertise: Manage EU funds in relation to Tourism; licensing of tourism operators, enforcement of service and legal standards; promote HR development within the tourism industry; promote Malta as a tourism destination.


Target audience: Accommodation facilities, catering establishments, diving centres, private tourism attractions and museums, English language schools, self-catering holiday operators.
