General Info

The aims of the Tanzania Energy Trust (TENTRUST) are to raise awareness and promote energy efficiency and renewable energy especially solar energy and its derivatives. TENTRUST is particularly interested in domestic and commercial application of photovoltaics in rural areas in Tanzania, especially for lighting, refrigeration, telecommunications and rural Information and communication technology (Rural ICT).

Areas of expertise: All the above. TENTRUST staff are qualified engineers and trainers.


Target audience: Primary and secondary schools students and staff (awareness raisers, information carriers, potential users), vocational training centers (training of personnel for building, installation and maintenance), general public (targeted end users).
