General Info

The intervention fields of ARENA concern energy planning, promotion of the rational use of energy, renewable energies implementation, valorisation of regional energy and natural resources, namely:
  • Regional planning on energy and environment.
  • Studies and projects in the scope of transports, in particular of urban transports, with the objective of reduce the energy consumption and attenuate the impact on the environment.
  • Studies and projects on solid wastes, regarding its energy valorisation and environment impact.
  • Promotion of actions focussing people and industry sensibility for rational use of energy, renewable energy exploitation and environment protection.
  • Technical support to the Regional Government and other public or private entities in the scope of energy and environment areas.
  • Technical cooperation with similar organisations and inter regional networks.

The agency develops activities in the following areas:

  • Energy auditing
  • dissemination of information related with the rational use of energy and promotion of renewable energies.

The target audience includes the public, local and regional authorities and economic agents (Industries, hotels and the service sector).
