Styrian Energy Agency
EASt - Energie Agentur Steiermark GmbH(formerly: LEV - LandesEnergieVerein Steiermark) was founded in 1982 by the Styrian Government, which is represented in the board of the association.
The aim of EASt is the increase of efficiency of the use of energy and the use of renewable, domestic sources of energy in the interest of the regional development policy, the environment protection and long term effectiveness. The Agency is the interface between administration, policy, research and the consumers of energy. Its activities comprise the technical and organisational support of energy projects, consciousness raising and PR work (exhibitions, publications, conferences etc.), training (expert further training, promotion of research), European co-operation (participation in EU-research and development projects), energy counselling, as well as the organisation and award of grants.
