The objective of the National Renewable Energy Center (NREC) of Mongolia is to provide an equal, stable and simultaneous development of economy and energy that honors the ecology by the to use the environmentally freindly renewable energy source.

The NREC has been formed under the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, based on the former Renewable Energy Corporation, "Solar Ger" project implementation unit and PV assembling factory of information, Communication and Technology Authority.
