W/E Consultants sustainable building was founded in 1979. It participates in consultancy, research and communication projects in the fields of sustainable building, energy, use of materials, waste, water, health, building physics, HVAC and the quality of the built environment.
Areas of expertise: W/E works for the government and the building sector and participates in trendsetting and innovative projects in the Netherlands and Europe.
W/E works beyond the level of just adapting standard measures. Quality levels are set in cooperation with their clients and partners with the objective of raising quality and reducing environmental impact combining scientific knowledge with a practical approach. This combination enables them to establish their trend-setting role in sustainable and energy efficient building.
W/E frequently participates in European projects most of which are part of a programme of the European Commission. W/E takes the initiative for such projects, advises on issues of energy and sustainability and plays a part in common tasks. Examples of such projects are: ENPIRE, Superbuildings, Save Age, SuRe-fit, LEnSe and Green Solar Cities. W/E was coordinator of the ENPIRE project.
