BIT - the Bureau for International Research and Technology Cooperation - is the Austrian centre offering services to participants in European and international programmes, actions and initiatives for co-operation in research, technological development and demonstration (RTD).

BIT provides information and assistance relating to a wide range of RTD activities, in particular the Framework Programme of the EU, EUREKA, COST and INTAS.

BIT supports companies, universities, independent research institutes and other organisations interested in transnational RTD co-operation. In addition, as the co-ordinator of the INNOVATION Relay Centre Austria, BIT is actively involved in the transfer of new technologies and in other measures supporting innovation.
