Genercan aims to promote and stimulate activities aiming at developing and managing actions in energy efficiency and saving within all the economic and social aspects of the life of the Cantabrian society supporting the energy planning of the Community.

It also aims to encourage, develop and fulfil plans and agreements with the Institute for the diversification and saving of energy of the Spanish Ministry of Industry Tourism and Commerce (IDAE), with companies of the energy sector, with organisms or bodies linked to energy or related to investigation, development and energy innovation.

Areas of expertise include actions on energy efficiency, as well as promotion and development of renewable energies.

Target audience: All citizens and organisations.
