General Info

The main aims of the ALERR Foundation are:
  • The development of awareness of energy and of environment.
  • To awake local politicians towards problems regarding energy management, and the role of energy in parallel fields regarding sustainable local development (transport, housing, social services, waste disposal, the local economy, employment, etc.)
  • To help local authorities in the creation of energy policies and in the issue of energy planning, and to support local initiatives relating to the integration into territorial or sector by sector planning.
  • To help local authorities put such policies into practice, in such way stimulating economic activity and helping job creation.
  • To research, identify and if necessary manage possible investments for rational energy use and the development of renewable energy sources.
  • To mediate between local authorities and the local energy market.
  • To contribute to a better integration in energy matters within Europe.

The beneficiaries of our Agency activities are everyone that are involved in energetic matters, from a single citizen to public administrations. In particular:

  • Local Authorities (Provincia, Comuni, Comunit Montane etc.)
  • Firms (including SMEs - Small to Medium-sized Enterprises)
  • Crafts Enterprises
  • Tertiary Managements (hotels, transport, commerce, etc.)
  • Associations (of consumers, environmental, trade unions, etc.)
  • Private citizens

Areas of expertise include: energy auditing; energy efficiency in buildings; small wind farms; solar energy, mini-hydro.
