Community Renewable Energy (CoRE) works with communities to develop renewable energy systems which will provide independent, sustainable energy supplies and reduce funding reliance and generate an income. In return, CoRE will retain a stake in the projects set up to fund the establishment of more community owned renewable energy systems.
Areas of expertise: supporting community groups, developing renewable energy sytems and creating community owned business structures to do this. It aims to do this through the creation of a type of social franchise.
Target audience: communities and community based organisations.
