Arc de Seine Energie - Agence Locale de l'Energie was established by the Arc de Seine Urban Community in 2008, with the support of the Intelligent Energy - Europe programme.

Arc de Seine Energie is a newly created local energy agency. It was established in 2008 with the support of the Intelligent Energy - Europe program and founded by the Arc de Seine urban community and the public social housing company Arc de Seine Habitat. It is co-financed by Arc de Seine, the regional council of Ile-de-France and the ADEME. Its territory is that of the urban community which includes the municipalities of Chaville, Meudon, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Vanves and Ville d'Avray.

Its aim is to tackle climate change by encouraging the use of environmental friendly techniques and behaviours for building, heating and public lighting.

The targeted audiences are:

• Local administrations, social housing, local small companies and housing estates to which it provides technical advice and support such as energy assessments, and organizes local events (conferences, visits of local energy efficient installations, etc)
• Citizens of the urban community, to whom it provides impartial energy advice and help to obtain national local funds, organize local events such as visits of energy efficient housings.

Arc de Seine Energie employs 4 people: the Director, an engineer - specialized in energy efficiency, a technician - specialized in thermal physics and dedicated to the Energy Information Center, and a communication and administrative officer.
