The Institution of Mechanical Engineers aims to improve the world through engineering, by promoting sustainable energy use and engineering sustainable energy supply. It provides information and advice to the Government, the engineering profession and public at large.
Areas of expertise: IMechE promotes new technology, disseminate information and encourage young people to take up careers in engineering. It operates locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and its members work in a wide variety of industries and technology sectors, including building services, automotive, aerospace, rail, power generation, sustainability, environmental engineering and renewables.
Target audience: engineers, politicians, parliamentarians, industrialists, investors, researchers, students, young people, teachers, careers advisors, parents, entrepreneurs, energy managers, energy policy specialists, business groups and trade associations.
