Forest Research Institute works in the establishment of wood, bioenergy crops based on using willow (Salix spp.) shrubs and hybrid poplars (Populus spp.).

Areas of expertise: forest breeding and genetics, biotechnologies, biodiversity conservation, soil erosion control, multifunctional management of forest ecosystems, forest hydrology and climatology, evaluation and classification of forest habitats and forest entomology and phytopathology.


Target audience: forest practitioners, owners of forest and fallow agricultural lands and managers.
