General Info

SOELIA spa is a public enterprise wholly-owned by Municipality of Argenta, that has developed and diversified the services they offer and increased their areas of competence over the last nine years. It is the first public service delivery company of this type in Italy and at present one of the few, entirely managed by a single local administration. At present SOELIA directly, or through its wholly-owned or associated organisations is involved in public services and other activities, mainly in energy field.

Energy is the main activity with SOENERGY (fully controlled by SOELIA) expecting to sell around 152 million m3 of natural gas and 190 GWh of electricity to final consumer in 2010, with ELETTROGAS (fully controlled by SOENERGY) shipping around m3 1 billion of natural gas and 550 GWh of electricity.

Areas of expertise include: - distribution of natural gas

  • Distribution and sale of gas and electricity
  • Collection and disposal of waste
  • Maintenance and operation of property heating systems
  • Public lighting
  • Management of an eco-industrial park
  • Support of Eco-museum

Target audience: Reflecting its role of public body and its involvement in energy fields, SOELIA is developing strategies aimed at improvement in energy performance of its own activities, as well as for other organisations in the area. It expects to play a key-role to transfer, at a local level, European policy and to translate this into concrete actions, at first relating to priorities of public administration, but then encouraging private citizens or enterprise to move towards sustainable energy systems.
