NOA is a National Research Centre, supervised by the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of the Hellenic Ministry of Industry-Energy-Technology. NOA is the oldest research center in the country, established in 1846. The GRoup Energy Conservation (GREC) at the Institute of Environmental Research & Sustainable Development (IERSD) is involved on national and European R&D, demonstration & energy projects related to RES and RUE in buildings, energy conservation techniques and assessment, active & passive thermal and solar building applications, solar cooling, thermal and CFD building simulations, analysis and numerical modeling of thermal energy systems, building audits, building retrofitting, indoor environmental quality, HVAC systems, natural ventilation, thermal imaging and infrared inspections, fuzzy and modern controls, daylighting, large scale solar heating systems, solar radiation and meteorological measurements, software development
