The activities of Energy Agency of South West Styria include:

  • promotion of biomass district heating nets in the region
  • promotion of use of renewable energy for new dwellings and low energy
  • logistics and market potential for wood chips outside the region
  • job creation resulting from use of regional energy sources
  • development of glasshouses utilising renewable energy (solar and biomass)

Experience includes:

  • development of training courses on renewable energy
  • development and initiation of new projects on biomass and solar energy
  • organisation of national and international workshops and exhibitions
  • promotion of technology in municipalities
  • dissemination of information
  • gender mainstreaming

Target Audience includes consumers (private households), enterprises (gardeners, fitters, SMEs), municipalities (mayors), schools (age 7 - 18) and women (gender mainstreaming and equal treatment of women).
