Osona comprises of 51 villages of which Vic is the capital. In 2007, the territory had 144,000 inhabitants within an area of 1264 km2.
The aim of the Energy Agency is to assess private and public entities in terms of energy efficiency and renewable energies.
The activities of the Agency include:
- Assessment of the energy efficiency of municipally-owned buildings: the Energy Agency provides assessment of energy efficiency in public buildings such as schools, sports halls and theatres. It also advises at the town planning level, in order to achive more efficient constructions.
- Development of audits on street lighting in the whole region.
- Development of audits on energy efficiency and renewable energy in public installations.
- Assessment for biomass, geothermal and solar energy projects.
