- Fuel technologies - analyses of coal (lignite, coke, petrocoke) and petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, fuel oil) according to international standards.
- Advanced Energy Technologies - Energy conversion systems such as fuel cell technologies, hydrogen production and storage, utilization of renewable energy sources including biomass and solar energy (PV), clean fossil fuel utilization and absorption cooling systems, energy conservation studies such as industrial energy audits and on site measurements
- Power electronics - power system simulation and analyses and power electronics designs mainly for naval applications. Platform and sensor technologies - mostly concentrates on automotive technologies; electrical vehicle (EV) or hybrid electrical vehicle (HEV) technologies and electrical energy storage systems such as flywheels, vehicular battery systems.
