Kirklees Council aims to

• reduce CO₂ emissions 30% by 2005 from a 1990 baseline - in their own buildings and across the district
• have 10% of their energy requirements supplied by renewables by 2010
• reduce water consumption to equal or less than national benchmarks
• encourage and improve water management and conservation
