The EnnergieAgentur Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) was established in 1990 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Small Scale Industry, Technology and Traffic [Ministerium fr Wirtschaft und Mittelstand, Technologie und Verkehr] of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The EnnergieAgentur Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) is an independent and non-commercial contact for any queries concerning energy in North Rhine-Westphalia, the largest Federal State of Germany and the number one Federal State in the field of energy technology. The main concerns of its engineers are information and provision of competent, demand-orientated and extensive support for the efficient and economic use of energy and the application of inexhaustible energy sources. The target group includes companies, service providers, trade and industry, architects, engineers, craftsmen as well as municipalities and communities across North Rhine-Westphalia.

EnnergieAgentur Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) does not work on a commercial basis. Its advisory service is free of charge.
