The Black Sea Regional Energy Centre (BSREC) acts as a focal point for energy related activities, aimed at developing co-operation between the Black Sea region countries and the EU in the energy field. The Center's core activity is targeted to promote the development and implementation of market oriented energy policy, encourage restructuring of the monopoly structures, encouraging the energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, assist investment and funding, and allow the collection and dissemination of energy sector related information at a regional level. The main objectives of the Centre are as follows:
