The Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy of the CEU is a pan-regional centre of excellence for environment-related studies, and it is also uniquely positioned to be a leader organization in energy-efficiency related research and market transformation activities in the former socialist block. The CEU has devoted its work to the promotion of sustainable energy policies for a decade. An important part of the department's mission within CEE and the FSU is to form a collaborative network of professionals working to understand and manage common environmental problems.
