Esbensen is an international engineering consultancy company with three offices in Denmark, employing about 25 people. The core area of the firm is within heating, ventilation and air conditioning, HVAC. However, over the last 20 years a special expertise has been developed within the areas of solar energy (active and passive), indoor climate, energy efficient building design, renewable energy and new energy technologies.
Esbensen has been involved in more than 25 EU-projects in R&D during the years. All in the field of renewable energy and energy efficient building design.
Target audience: The audience varies from the type of project. In local and regional projects the target audience often are industries, local authorities, counties, building associations etc. On the national level the audience is often the national energy agency, other consultants or architects. On the international level the audience is often architects, European Commission, national energy agencies etc.
The expertise ranges from conventionally heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) to more complicated solutions in the areas of: hybrid ventilation, natural ventilation, energy efficiency in buildings, energy auditing, efficient lighting, daylighting utilisation, photovoltaic, solar thermal, building integrated solar energy, dissemination of information, networking, changing citizens behaviour etc.
