BIOMASA is an association of legal entities (such as municipalities, schools, NGOs) established with the goal to prepare and realise projects aimed at the use of biomass, especially wood pellets for heating in public buildings.
Within the just finished large investment project supported though several grants the pellet production plant in Northwest Slovakia has been built and 44 boiler rooms mostly in schools and public buildings were reconstructed to pellets ones. BIOMASA is a producer of pellets, operator of biomass boiler rooms in the buildings belonging to the members of the BIOMASA, as well as and promoter of higher biomass utilisation in Slovakia.
