The main aim of the City of Vaxjo in relation to energy is to stop using fossil fuels. The City owns an energy company for CHP from biomass and housing companies with energy efficient houses.

Areas of expertise: energy effective wooden houses, large-scale biomass co-generation, production of DME for vehicle fuel from biomass, monitoring of GHG and policy issues.
