In 2003, PT-ETN was managing two main subsidy activities in the region of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany in the field of renewable energy technology/efficient energy use:
Complementary to one another, these activities cover the whole range from research and technical development to demonstration and market implementation within the framework of the Future Energies Initiative NRW. Within AG Solar, over 200 R+D projects have been realized since 1991, covering: photovoltaics, solar housing, solar thermal, solar energy systems, solar chemistry and materials research, as well as sustainability studies and educational tasks. Additionally, AG Solar is an expert network consisting of more than 40 NRW-universities and research institutions working in the field of solar energy.
