CLER is a non-profit association created in 1984. The association links a bit more than 140 organisms acting all over the french territory:

CLER's members act in each renewable energy field: Solar Heating, Photovoltaic, Wind energy, Wood energy, biogas, Building (Architecture, Low Energy Design, Demand Side Management, …), Combined Heat and Power, Heat network, Geothermal energy. They offer different kinds of services:

• Material, devices, plants, consultancy, Prime Contractors
• Information (papers, video, exhibitions, libraries)
• Formations, Applied/Fundamental research

The aim of the association is to lead this network of local actors. In doing so, the main actions are:

• To provide information
• To communicate
• To develop the debate
• To help the members in their projects
• To help the creation of jobs
• To increase the awareness of institutions and elected people
