Malachy Walsh and Partners are committed to developing the concepts of Passive House engineering in the Irish market, through promoting the component building services technologies of passive and active solar design and heat recovery ventillation. In addition, Malachy Walsh and Partners will integrate other energy efficient technologies which advance the profile of sustainability in Ireland, into the M&E designs. These include natural lighting, cooling and ventillation techniques, heat pump technology and tri-generation.

Areas of expertise: Energy efficient buiding services design through the promotion of technologies including: passive and active solar design, photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, biomass boilers (in particular wood fired), combined heat and power, in conjuction with absorption chilling (tri-generation), district heating, grey water usage and rainwater harvesting, heat recovery ventillation, natural ventillation, natural cooling and lighting, building energy management systems.

Target audience: Owner occupiers, developers, architects and all stakeholders with an interest in sustainable engineering and renewable energy.
