Avila is a Spanish city with 54000 inhabitants, with an important natural heritage. Its engagement in the exploitation of renewable energies is well consolidated thanks to different events and projects in which it took part, such as the Sixth infoday of Avila about renewable energy presented in October 2007 or the initiative of the Municipality of Avila, promoted in June 2007 about the diffusion of the bicycle among the population, through the free loan of 130 bicycles, inside the Strategy of Energetic Efficiency of Spain.
