BEAMA, the British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers' Association was founded in 1905.

BEAMA is a National grouping consisting of 14 Associations representing some 350 companies in the Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturing Industries in the UK.

BEAMA represents an industry with a turnover of £ 13 billion a year and employs over 137,000 people.

BEAMA is the co-ordinator for the Electrotecnical Industry with UK government and its European counterparts.

BEAMA provides a wide range of services to both members and to the industry including Legal, Statistics, Standards , Commercials,Oversea Marketing, Technonlogy, Environmental and much more.

BEAMA acts as a focal point for both National and International Trade enquiries.

Main Objectives of BEAMA

• To further the individual and collective interests of members in the UK, their suppliers supportive organisation as the recognised Trade Association for the Electrotechnical industry in the UK.
• To produce common policy and action among BEAMA members between Government, other industry body agencies, and Associations in the UK and Abroad.
• To collect and distribute market Statistics.
• To take action on UK, European or International legislation which may pertain to the common interest of members.
• To promote and participate in International, European or UK standards-making.
• To promote and assist in the development of free and fair UK and International Trade.
• To promote and facilitate good relation between members, their customers and other organisation representatives in the Electrotechnical Industry and complementary sectors.
• To assist in the development of UK Electrotechnical industries to achieve world-class competitiveness.
