The aims of the Energy and Environment Agency of Arrábida are:

• to improve the energy efficiency in the territorial area of influence;
• to sensitise and divulge information on local renewable energy sources and rational energy utilization;
• to conceive and implement projects for sustainable development of new activities and job creation;
• to integrate the energy efficiency and environmental protection in the urban planning processes, contributing for the implementation of sustainable development in this region, to decrease the emission of green house effect gases and to increase life quality of the population.

Areas of expertise: Changing citizens behaviour, dissemination of information, advice on specific energy issues, energy efficiency in buildings, CHP, biomass, biofuels

Target audience: Municipalities, tourism premises (hotels, resorts, touristic villages), industry, farming enterprises, forest sector, transporting enterprises, car industry, building sector, public and private institutions (health system, swimming pools, schools, kinder gardens), private house holding, general public.
