The specialization of Syneco lies in the consulting on subjects of the environmental economy, the environmental management and the project development for energy technology, energy management and waste management.

Syneco's customers are mainly private and public organisations which work in the area of environment, energy or waste disposal. It has an interdisciplinary consulting team.

Syneco is a partner of the Schwarz Rosanelli Consulting & Management Group. Syneco and Syneco Energy are partners of the regional Competence Centre for Renewable Energies, RENERTEC, situated in the Business Innovation Centre, South Tyrol (BIC Alto Adige SPA). Syneco is an ESCO (Energy Service Company) accredited by the AEEG (Italian energy authority). Syneco is a specialist on project development in the area of renewable energies, especially in the field of solar heating, photovoltaic, biomass and small hydropower as well as energy-efficiency. Because of its geographic position close to the German-speaking countries, it has a network position between the middle-, north- and east-European countries and Italy, as well as the Mediterranean economy (know how and technology transfer is also key task of its strategic partner RENERTEC).

Areas of expertise: photovoltaic projects, energy management and planning of energy efficiency projects in Comunities, expertise with flexible instruments of climate policy (carbon credits), On one hand it offers consultancy to companies (i.e. brick fabricants, gas-power-plants), which have to take part at the ETS-System: preparation of emissions-assessments, calculation of credits, strategies for emission trading; registered member of the Italian Energy-Efficiency-Certification-Scheme, (enabled to trade "white certificates"); plant-contracting for biomass-heating-systems, solar heatings, geothermal and photovoltaics as well as contracting of energy-reductions in facility management.
