Energy Conservation and Solar Centre (ECSC) is a not for profit company working across the field of sustainable energy and climate change. ECSC is part of the Thameswey Ltd Group, which is a owned by Woking Borough Council in the UK. Woking Borough Council have lead the way in local sustainable energy and carbon reduction strategies in the UK and are often heralded as a beacon of good practice worldwide.

The ECSC carries out development and implementation of programmes to create socially responsible sustainable energy futures through energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources. This is achieved through:

ECSC continues to research the issues surrounding the practical application of energy efficiency, informed by its ongoing projects. This supports its advisory services and developing the future projects and initiatives needed to increase the role of energy efficiency in sustainable development.

Areas of expertise:

ECSC is a national registered charity, set up in 1982, to advance the knowledge and application of energy efficiency. The development of practical locally focussed programmes to improve energy efficiency, throughout the UK, in households of all tenures and income levels, businesses and local authorities has been its focus ever since.
