ALE AB 33 - Agence Locale de l'Energie de l'Agglomération Bordelaise et du département de la Gironde was established in 2007 with the support of the Intelligent Energy - Europe programme.
The principle aim of the Agency is to lump together local actors in order to implement a local energy managment policy in line with the national and european ones. The Contry Council of Gironde, the Regional Council of Aquitaine and the regional delegation of ADEME are a complete part of the project in collaboration with the Urban Community of Bordeaux.
Areas of expertise: The Agency action will focus on reducing fossil fuels consumption, and therefore greeenhouse gases emissions through the improvement of energy efficiency in buidings and transports and by developping the use of renewable energy.
Target audience: The principle targets are local communities, social housing companies and local firms.
