The mission of the Tipperary Energy Agency is to contribute effectively to sustainable development in Co. Tipperary by promoting and developing the rational use of energy and use of renewable energy through information dissemination, education and training, service provision and project development.

• Provide information to all sectors of the community in Co. Tipperary on RUE and RE.
• Establish a Public Energy Information Office in Co. Tipperary.
• Provide education and training to specific target groups within the County.
• Reduce energy consumption in Co. Tipperary by 5% from 1998 levels.
• Promote and develop projects across all energy sectors.
• Provide services to the general public and Local Authorities.
• Develop local expertise in energy sector.
• Assist in Sustainable Development initiatives.
• Develop linkages with County Councils, TRBDI and international partners.
