GASNOR AS is a mayor player in the field of small scale LNG. GASNOR has own LNG resources on the island of Karm€y, near the town of Haugesund in Western Norway.
GASNOR's business is to sell and distribute natural gas to inland use and local consumers. Customers are primarily industrial and larger non-residential buildings like hotels, hospitals etc.
GASNOR distributes natural gas in pipelines, as well as LNG and CNG. The company owns and operates production facilities for LNG (Karm€y and Bergen). LNG is distributed by a small tanker (1000m²) and seven LNG trailers. CNG is distributed by 13 CNG trailers.
The company also delivers natural gas as fuel to cars and busses (CNG) and to two supply ships fuelled by natural gas (LNG). Gasnor has established gas filling stations for 150 cars and buses.
GASNOR is owned by major energy companies like Hydro, Statoil, BKK, Haugaland Kraft, E. ON Ruhrgas, Total E&P Norway and Norske Shell represent nearly 100 % of the total ownership. In the domestic distribution and use of natural gas, Gasnor represents the leading technical environment within Norway including multi-disciplinary knowledge within energy use and environmental aspects. Gasnor offers its customers technical assistance, consultancy, guidance and training.
