It is the role of the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe to bring together the regional public transportation companies and integrate them into a unified, area-wide offer for bus and train services. The result is a timetable that has been agreed to by all of the operators. A further large advantage is the single tariff structure for the entire VVO area. That makes it much easier to buy a ticket and it makes the price structures much more transparent.
