Greenitiative is a local action group focusing on promotion of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency at the household level and in local government development projects. Their main goal is to contribute to efforts to reduce the effects of climate change by changing the life-style and the energy habits in our community. Our current objective is to promote the idea of sustainable development (which is quite new in Romania) and the use of renewable energy sources in two rural communities where we have established a partnership with the local government authorities.

Areas of expertise: Education on energy for primary and secondary school students; Technical assistance for local government in the area of green projects and sustainable development, including renewable energy use.

Target audience: Households; local governments; school students.
