Energieagentur Schleswig-Holstein believes that rational use of energy, development and employment of innovative energy technologies, energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources are not only important in order to reach climate protection goals, but will also strengthen the economy of the Schleswig-Holstein region.

The energy agency was created in 1991 as part of Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein, in order to increase the information available and offer neutral, independent, qualified, free consultation to target groups.

The energy agency offers both technical and non-technical advice, indicating basic requirements and giving project guidance within the economic restraints of the organisation. Their main aims are to offer motivation, consultation, service and further training covering:
