Main objectives of the Agency are to keep and protect energetic sources. It is a technical organization, which operates in different fields and has the following objectives:

• to improve the energetic efficiency, the local sources as well as renewable energy sources;
• to help the Province of Lecce as well as other local authorities joining to the consortia to draft and adopt programmes aiming at the energy conservation and renewable energy sources promotion;
• to help local authorities to enforce regulations concerning energy conservation.

The Agency is financially and administratively indipendent and offers its services to local authorities. The Agency carries on its activities, supporting local authorities, in the following fields:

• energetic planning;
• assembling, funding, auditing, evaluation and results disseminating of projects concerning energy management;
• training and guidance for operators and information for consumers;
• cooperation with other agencies and organizations having the same goals.

Areas of expertise include solar thermal plants, photovoltaic systems and energy efficiency in buildings.
