 Event Organiser: European Renewable Energy Council and European Commission Directorate-General for Energy & Transport Event The European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) is an umbrella organisation of the leading European renewable energy industry and research associations active in the sectors of photovoltaic, wind, small hydropower, biomass and solar thermal. The workshop was the first occasion to discuss the Renewable Energy Framework Directive released by the Commission on 23 January 2008. Among the confirmed speakers are Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, Vice President of the European Parliament Mechtild Rothe and Slovenian Presidency State Secretary for Environment Mitja Bricelj. |
