Every year, the Dutch government hosts a large meeting for all local and national government workers, civil servants, companies and organisations working on climate and sustainability issues. This year, the focus is on making public/private partnerships work and how to stimulate such collaborations. Successful climate initiatives will be presented and investigated to find out if these successes can be repeated by others.

The European Offshore Wind Conference and Exhibition is organised once every two years by the European Wind Energy Association. The 2011 event will build on the huge success of the previous edition that took place in Stockholm, Sweden, on 14 - 16 September 2009 and attracted over 4,850 people who came to see over 260 exhibitions and participate in the 23 conference sessions and numerous side events.

With two days of jam-packed content, SMART CITIES 2011 will discuss the most pressing issues currently facing our cities – improving public safety, easing congestion, maximising energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

The aim of the seminar is to provide participants with an overview of the EU’s energy efficiency policy, the lessons to be learnt from the first round of national energy efficiency plans, national best-practice examples, funding mechanisms from the EIB and the European Commission, energy efficiency initiatives from the private sector, etc.

The 12th European Forum on Eco-Innovation, entitled 'Scaling-up sustainable construction - Through value chain innovation', will examine: what kind of added value eco-innovation can bring to the construction sector; how eco-innovation can transform the industry's supply chain; how to communicate these benefits to public authorities, construction professionals and building owners; a review of the opportunities and challenges as part of a sustainable construction value chain.
